The work we do, in timelapses.
Wall skimming and base-coating, window installation, floors, plasterboard, tiling and bathrooms: these are the trades we carry out with our own crew, without subcontracting the bulk of the work. For each one we publish a timelapse filmed with a fixed camera on a real project, start to finish. A timelapse cannot be dressed up with editing: either the work is done right, or it shows.

Wall base-coating and skimming
The base coat is the layer of render that straightens a wall: it goes over the brick or the old finish and is screeded until the surface is flat. On top goes the fine skim, which is what gets painted. If this step is done badly, no paint will hide it: the ripples show every evening, when the light comes in sideways.

Window installation
Replacing a window properly takes about a day per opening: removing the old one without damaging the wall, offering in the new frame, levelling and plumbing it, fixing it and sealing the whole perimeter. The sealing is what keeps out water, noise and draughts — it is what separates a well-fitted window from one that whistles all winter.

The trade
Floor installation
We fit laminate, vinyl and ceramic flooring, and what decides the result is not the plank: it is the base. A new floor over an unlevelled screed creaks, rocks and opens up at the joints within months. So the first job is checking the surface and levelling where needed; with the base done right, laying the floor is the quick part.

The trade
Plasterboard ceilings and walls
Plasterboard handles false ceilings, wall linings and new partitions quickly and without rubble. In renovations we use it above all for ceilings that carry the wiring and plumbing without chasing the slab, and to divide rooms — it is how we split a bedroom in two on the Tarifa project.

The trade
Tiling and bathrooms
Bathroom tiling is decided by what you never see: the waterproofing of the shower area and the setting-out of the tiles before the first one is cut. Good setting-out avoids narrow slivers in the corners and visible cuts; good waterproofing avoids the damp patch that shows up on the neighbour's ceiling a year later.
